Fahion, Love and Fame..

You have created t-shirt for the campaign against AIDS. Why was it important?
Bill: We heard about this campaign, we are always in the public eye, which is why we can do this sort of thing. It is very important, especially for young people have a safe sex. Idea of protected sex inspired us ...

How to participate?
Bill: Design was mainly my job.
Tom: I obviously came up with the slogan.
Bill: And I was really inspired by the slogan of Tom
Tom: First of all what we wanted was to make a short slogan and easy to remember.
Gustav: They let me join! Eu desenhei um ponto de exclamação! I drew an exclamation point!
Tom: And Gustav was running to get to the sandwiches!

What is your clothing style?
Bill: I'm absolutely crazy about leather jackets.I have so many that I do not know the exact amount. Every color, every shape. Tom é mais do estilo hip-hop. Tom is more hip-hop.
Tom: Little retro.
Gustav And I like socks. They do not give money on jackets.
His favorite item of clothing:
Bill: Besides coats, I'm crazy about jewelry. I always have at least one suitcase, there could be Gustav: And I like the ring of iron that is on my finger. Some fans have lost.I am lucky!
Tom've changed that hair style?
Tom: After nine years using dreadlocks, I had a desire for change. So cut my hair short because it was impossible to untangle them.I waited for them to grow a bit and tried the African style just for fun, but liked me and decided to keep it.
Are you single?
Bill: Yes. One of us has a girlfriend, the rest are still single.
Georg: As Bill has sagged, I'll say it. I live with the beautiful and charming girl, whose name I will not say. She is German and I will not say anything else.
Gustav: At least I had the opportunity to see a naked girl (by accident), but Bill still had no luck.
Who is the best and worst of you?
Bill: Georg is horrible, he is always late. And it is lazy, clumsy, stupid and ugly [laughs].  In addition, he is very funny because it's so awkward. But it has a beautiful hair. Gustav seems calf.  I'm the one who is perfect in every way, and it annoys others. And I take it all too seriously.
Gustav: Yes, you are amazing.
Tom: I'm just super. Very talented and very beautiful.
Bill: All is fair in Tom
Georg: Tom also is annoying and crazy by itself.
Tom: Not true!I'm a humble guy. But, talented and beautiful [laughs]
Gustav: I'm also very beautiful and I have glasses!

You have strange tastes in fashion. How important the visual component of the band?
Bill: It is important, but I think it's necessary to be who you want to be. For us, Tokio Hotel is more than one job, is our life.  We never try to come up with some image. And I do not care what they say about my hair or our clothes. We look at the way she is and always has been. The visual element is important, as lyrics and melody form ideas, emote, and you can see the whole person.  All those things go hand in hand.

What we like most fans?
Tom: The energy in our concerts. They give a lot of energy. Our fans are the best!
Bill: We like it when they scream! It's amazing how much energy we are receiving at the same time on stage. We would not want to play for people with no grace, who would only listen to our music. We need the energy. The fans follow us everywhere, sleeping in front of businesses. I like this demonstration and determination.

What are the downsides of fame? When you leave the streets, you are immediately surrounded by paparazzi, no?
Bill: Exactly. I'd love to be able to get outside and simply take a walk. Before, when we were touring, we could go out without bodyguards. Now it's impossible. But we are happy that people like our music. Fame is like a drug for us.

What would you do if you were not in Tokio Hotel?
Bill: I was an unemployed musician [laughs]. Of course I would play in some clubs small fee.
Is there any band or artist that inspires you to write songs
Bill: It's very difficult to quote a band or an artist, because I hear all kinds of music. I never had an idol who really inspired me, but I like listening to David Bowie, Placebo, Coldplay, Stereophonics. I would love to have a chance to work (collaboration of music) with my idols, David Bowie or Steve Tyler.

All the time you enter the stage, puts makeup on your own?
Bill: Sometimes yes, some I need help. I began doing makeup and dye my hair when I was 10, then i can do it alone.

Who inspired you to this unique hairstyle?
Bill: Hmmm ... I do not know. I do not need long hair.  Every day I put a small amount of hairspray and it takes approximately 15 minutes.
Gustav: Thanks for asking! My hairstyle is the result of lack of money. It is the style cheaper.  I am paid a penny per beat on drums.
